President Biden open his address to Congress by declaring 'America is on the move again'
President Joe Biden opened his first address to a joint session of Congress on Wednesday night by declaring that "America is on the move again." The President, in his first prime-time speech to lawmakers, is hoping to build on the trust he engendered by accelerating the nation's response to the Covid-19 pandemic to convince Americans that they should back his ambitious plans to tackle income inequality. And for the first time in history, there were two women standing on the dais -- Vice President Kamala Harris and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi -- waiting to welcome the President to the House chamber. | | | | | | | |
