A Roe v. Wade test? Supreme Court opens door to challenge. Plus, more politics news today.

Breaking news this Monday: The Supreme Court will hear a challenge to Mississippi's 15-week abortion ban giving the court's new conservative majority the chance to consider a direct test of the landmark Roe v. Wade decision. Meanwhile:

Families will start receiving monthly advance payments from the Child Tax Credit starting July 15.
The United States will send at least 80 million doses of coronavirus vaccines overseas by the end of June.
Pressure is increasing on the Biden administration to ask for a ceasefire in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Got kids? Money could be coming your way 💸

Millions of Americans with children will see more money in their bank accounts starting in July. On the 15th, the Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service will begin sending monthly advance payments of $250 or $300 to low- and moderate-income families under the newly expanded Child Tax Credit.

Here's why: Monthly advance payments under the Child Tax Credit are the result of President Joe Biden's American Rescue Plan, a $1.9 trillion coronavirus-relief package that Congress passed in March. The law extended the tax credit, boosted the amount that eligible families could receive and provided for half of the money to be made available in monthly installments through December.

Under the new law, families claiming the credit will receive up to $3,000 per qualifying children between ages 6-17 or $3,600 for each child younger than 6. Previously, the tax credit was up to $2,000 per qualifying child under age 17.

Biden has yet to reverse many of Trump's pro-Israel policies

Four months into his term, Biden has left many of President Donald Trump's pro-Israel policies in place — leading to frustration in Washington and the Middle East.

Biden has been clear he supports a two-state solution to the intransigent conflict, but he has punted on some of the most contentious issues, even as the worst violence in years grips the region.

(On Saturday, an Israeli airstrike on a refugee camp killed at least 10 Palestinians from an extended family, mostly children, the deadliest single strike of the current conflict, according to The Associated Press)

One issue: Jerusalem. Trump broke with decades of Washington policy and moved the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in 2018, backing Israel's claim on the disputed capital and holy city for Jews, Muslims and Christians. The Biden administration signaled it has no intention of moving the American embassy back to Tel Aviv.
