💡 INSIGHT OF THE DAY: Many Americans make the mistake of not contributing enough to their 401(k) accounts, leaving them with insufficient funds for retirement. "Many people only contribute up to the amount that their employer matches, and you need to contribute more," Renée Pastor, founder of New Orleans-based  The Pastor Financial Group, tells Daily Money. "A good tip is to put a recurring 'to-do' notification on your calendar at the end of each year or the beginning of each year that reminds you to log in to your 401(k) and increase your contribution."
