"Many people only contribute up to the amount that their employer matches, and you need to contribute more," Renée Pastor, founder of New Orleans-based The Pastor Financial Group, tells Daily Money. "A good tip is to put a recurring 'to-do' notification on your calendar at the end of each year or the beginning of each year that reminds you to log in to your 401(k) and increase your contribution." |
