Rise and shine! It's been a wild 24 hours in the sports world, but we'll get you caught up on everything you need to know this morning.

The MLB trade deadline hits at 4 p.m. ET, and the Los Angeles Dodgers pulled off one of the biggest deals in recent memory Thursday night.

The reigning World Series champions finalized a six-players trade with the Washington Nationals to acquire pitcher Max Scherzer, an eight-time All-Star and three-time Cy Young winner.

The Dodgers' pitching corps have been plagued by injuries, with Clayton Kershaw and Dustin May out, and they've also been dealing with Trevor Bauer, who is on administrative leave following allegations of sexual assault.

Scherzer, who came back from an injury earlier this season without missing a beat, will fit right in to their rotation. The Dodgers also got shortstop Trea Turner in the deal, and gave up two double-A prospects plus switch hitter Keibert Ruiz and pitcher Josiah Gray.
